The island needed a Pokédex.

I started Parkdex because I wanted to visit all 117 provincial parks on Vancouver Island and needed a way to keep track of them.

It has grown into the index I use to decide where to go next: roughly 200 parks and islands, one map, a wishlist, completion tracking, and badges for getting out there.

The next chapter is an Android app with GPS-validated visits, arrival notifications, and a Polaroid captured when you reach a park.
